Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was great this year being back with the family. We had a yummy meal and of course looked through the ads to prepare for Black Friday. However, when it came time to go shopping my family was worn out so Roland, Dallen and I went and saw The Wolverine.  

26th Purple and Gold

THIS WEEK HAS BEEN THE BEST BIRTHDAY WEEK EVER!!  And it is not even my birthday yet!!

Today I got home and my roommate Ruth Anne had blown up balloons and bought decorations for my party. I then head  down starts to decorate the rest with my BFC  Danielle.  We cut out purple and Black streamers to decorate everything. Later  Natalie , Katie and Baby Wade came over to finish helping  and even a pizza which was very much needed. It looked soooo cute!!! This was the best party ever. Everything was gold, purple and black. I had a sparkle black shirt and my purple pants and my sexy dance shoes!. There was dancing which was awesome. Matt Nelson came and three adorable guys (Dave Williams, Andrew and John Doxey)from my ward.

Surprise Birthday Party

Today just before recess my student Paige asked if her and a few other kids could stay in during recess. I figured it would be to plan something for my birthday next week so I told her  five people could. I took the rest of class out to recess and tried to stay out of the room. I went to go get the rest of the kids and as I returned, kids were hiding inside I saw my kids scrambling and making noise of she is coming. I stopped and Mr. Reynolds came out and  mentioned "I know that the surprise is ruined but could you give us 10 more minutes they really want to do this for you". So I headed to the library for 10 minutes and when I return the lights were off in my room (which it isn't that dark). I stumble to open my door and turn the lights on and the kids jump out from behind the bookshelf and yell " Happy birthday". It was so cute they had streamers all over and balloons. They each came up to me and gave me a rose saying your the best teacher ever. 

Catching Fire

Brooke called me tonight and invited me to Catching Fire!!! This was a private showing so they sang Happy Birthday to me and two others. They then did some trivia questions to win gift cards in which I couldn't answer. The movie was  SO GOOD!! I LOVED it much more then the first one because of the story line had more romance. I can't wait for the next one.

MICHAEL BUBLE

Back in June Danielle sent  me a snapchat of Michael Buble coming to Utah. I started to freak out and yell because I love this guy soooo much. Well Megan got upset because she wanted to surprise me for my birthday and give me tickets. Which I told her she still could. So my cute BFF Megan who is on her mission right now sent me tickets to see Michael Buble. Danielle and I headed up to Energy Solutions at 6:30pm . We bought some MB gear of course,  Danny got me a cute hoodie and poster for my birthday! This concert was amazing in every way. He started off with singing Fever and fire shot up from the stage, he then slid down a ramp. He would sing and twirl his microphone around. He sang Happy Birthday to me( okay an 83 year old) but it should have been for me. He sang "all you need is love" and shoot confetti hearts that filled the arena.  He sang "lucky" while moving to his other stage which was right in front of us.  He left the stage and then came on for his encore wearing a black sparkle jacket in which he sang " cried me a river" where his stage lifted him up like a pyramid. At the very end he took off his microphone and begin to sing out with his voice only , which was so attractive. Ah this CONCERT WAS AMAZING!!

 My student Kalani asked me today if  I could tell him the name of a dinosaur that can fly. So I looked up some dinosaurs and wrote Pterodactyl on a post it for him. Twenty minutes later the paper was back on my desk with the words thank you!  Items like this really make me appreciate my job.

My Provo YSA 231st ward is doing a random act of service this month. I was served by a bouquet of beautiful flowers from Nick. It was a great surprise to come home from work. :)

BYU vs Idaho State

Today was the last BYU football game so I definitely needed to go.  I can say that I have truly become a BYU fan after attending to a game in rain, snow and wind. 

JaNae and Miles

 My girl JaNae Mortensen  got hitched today! I've known JaNae since 5th grade when we were placed on the same Recreation volleyball team. We have been playing ball together ever since, which meant her wedding would be a great reunion place. I finally got to see Hailey Jeppson  and all my Pleasant Grove teammates. Happy wedding day JaNae!!!
