Parent Teacher Conference

We had parent teacher conference tonight, so the kids make folders to hold their parents. My cute Maritza had this on her folder, I love that she thinks so highly of me.

100th Day of School

Before

After... yes, 100 googlie eyes.

Can you believe that I have been a teacher for 100 days exactly!!! And I only have 80 days left. Wow, time is flying. I am loving every moment of it too. Except when DRA test due, parent teacher conference and 100th day of school all happen the same day. Good thing for co-workers and family. I had the class design shirts with 100 things on them, which I of course did too. So luckily I have my wonderful cousin Amanda to help me execute all my ideas. We created a monster t-shirt I saw on Pinterest. I think mine of course turned out cuter.  The kids all showed up with cute creative ideas on  their shirts and posters also. I love 2nd grade so much.

Lady Antebellum

Cinthia Silva and I bought Lady A tickets for November 23, 2013 but for some reason their concert was pushed back to Jan. 24, 2014. So today I drove up to Cinthia house were she had cooked a cute country meal of fried chicken, potatoes, and biscuits for dinner.  It was so delicious. Danny her husband then tried to get me to wear his cowboy boots, but sadly they were too small.
Anyways Ci and I drove up to Salt Lake getting lost on the many one way streets. We finally arrived at 6:50pm and the Energy Solutions was empty. After being there for 15 minutes we found out they concert was delayed till 8:00p.m. When the concert finally started we had a blast. Our seat where up on the balcony and there was two pre-shows. (that wasn't fun) Finally Lady Antebellum came on stage at 10:00pm, they did a great job. I'm loving country a little bit more.

Cafe Rio Date

I love traditions, I think they create character and many family memories over time.  With traditions and family in my mind I decided to create a monthly tradition with my dad since my schedule is always crazy. We have been meeting at the point of the mountain and having lunch dates. This has been a very rewarding idea being able to eat and have great conversations with my dad.
Thanks dad for another fun date!
