We did a picture scavenger hunt for FHE and I was a little worried that people wouldn't show up, but I was wrong we had 22 people!! I was so excited , when this many people show up I feel like I'm doing my calling right!! We did really good our team got 33 which was second place. I love this ward so much and I'm so grateful for my church callings!

Summer 2010

Belle, Me and Paige

So I was able to go with friends to watch the Meteor Shower on Thursday night and it was awesome to be able to go to the hills and watch all the beautiful stars, which I don't get to see in the city. Yesterday was great too, I got to go to the beach with my friends Belle and Paige . It was nice just to go and relax and talk with each other about boys. Work is still great I love the kids so much it will be hard to say good bye. P.S. I received my exhausted athletic scholarship!!

Cute saying from the Butterflies and Bunnies

Jake's conversion as we walk on the beach for the second time

Jake: I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!
Me: What?
Jake: WOW!
Me : What can't you believe Jake?
Jake: ALL THIS SAND

Kaymia a first grader at the beach

Kaymia: I don't feel good
Me: okay lets go grab your towel
Another girl: Ah Deer, I think I'm sea sick
Kaymia: Me too

( Warning: So apparently kids can get sea sick from putting their feet in the ocean so be careful)

We were watching the Rugrats movie yesterday and they were talking about a baby shower so my kids said:

Kagan: What's a baby shower?
Noelle: Its when the baby takes a shower
Skylar: No, it when mom's throw a party for a new baby

Ah, I love this job!!!

Minute It to Win It

Junk in the Trunk
Chocolate Unicorn

Blind Ball

For FHE we decided to do the game show Minute It to Win It where the contestants have one minute to execute a weird task such as the Chocolate Unicorn were you have to stack seven ding dongs on your forehead mimicking a unicorn horn. Another task was called Junk in the Trunk were you had a tissue box filled with 8 ping pong balls in which the person had to dance trying to get all 8 balls out in one minute ( which I dominated in 5 sec). This night was great I was so excited to see 15 people there on time and to hear them laughing as they tried to complete the task. The night was awesome, I've enjoyed this calling so much and it's nights like this that make me so proud and good inside that everyone is having a great time. I think everyone should try this it with family and friends. It's so funny and interesting to see what people can do out of the unusual.

Mormon Night

The Metcalf Family

So apparently the church has a Mormon night at Dodgers Stadium were the wards in the LA area all buy tickets for a certain night. I love this idea it allows all of us get together and enjoy each others company while wearing BYU sweatshirts. I went to watch the Dodgers play the Padres with the Metcalf family. I love this family so much they are so nice and kind to me and I'm so grateful to know them. I have to say that I love baseball games, there is something about the atmosphere that makes it so enjoyable. I think its the songs they play and the beautiful field and cute outfits the guys wear and plus this sport is American!! I have decided that since I haven't jumped on the bandwagon to be a Lakers fan , that I would join the Dodgers bandwagon since people out here aren't as obsessed with them.
