Last Supper... er- breakfast

Today Tela went out for one last big breakfast at Village Inn in Provo. A lot of her family and a few of her friends came to have one more meal with her and visit before she left. After breakfast we all went over to Amanda and Bryce's condo to chat a little longer before Tela reported to the MTC at 12:45pm. It was a teary and bitter sweet good bye. We know she'll do great and can't wait to hear updates from her over the next 18 months!

Lunch Dates

Two great days in a row of lunch dates with old friends. My friend Hailey (Jeppson) Allsup who I played volleyball with for many years has been married for two years now and is pregnant with a boy . She is sweet, nice and so cute with her little prego belly. It was great to meet up with her again and talk about old teammates and friends.
The next day I meet up with Chelsie (Thurgood) McCage who is an old ward friend. We grew up as beehives together with her mom as our leader, it was so much fun. She was such a great leader and example to me.  We were the only two girls in our Sunday school class till we became juniors, so we had tons of crush on all the boys our age and older. She has been married for three years and just barely had a baby girl named Brylie 5 week it ago. Ah, it was so much fun to hold her Brylie she is so small and had a cute chubby face and tons of hair with a big bow. It was a great two days to meet up with old friends that are still so sweet, kind and fun as they were in high school and I’m so glad to know them both.

Singing in the Rain

Megan and I went to support my lovely BFC Danielle and her friend A.J. in the play Singing in the Rain. It was the first time either of us had seen this story line so it fun to watch people you know perform in it. They both did a wonderful job dancing and singing the night away.
Way to go Danny and A.J.

Coldwater Creek

Today started off great JaNae and I went to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple to do work which was our first time, making it a great experience. Later that day JaNae invited Megan and I to head up to Park City outlets to do some missionary clothes shopping with here two Aunts.  The first store we all three purchased cute items from was the Coldwater Creek store which is made primarily for older women aka moms and grandmas. It was funny to be in the store with so many older women, as we were trying on outfits for ourselves and liking them. We then departed from her aunts heading into younger stores like Rue 21 and Vans store to make us all feel young I guess.

Manti Pageant

Megan and Danielle

Megan and I were able to attend the Manti Pageant for the first time this year with the whole YSA Stakes. We drove down with my Uncle Zane who is a new YSA Bishop and his family which made the road trip fun. We had an outside turkey dinner while it rained on us, but luckily it stopped before the pageant started.  As we were waiting for it to start I asked Megan to spray me with bug repellant in which she accidently squirted it my eyes. It burned so bad I had no idea it was possible to get in your eyes when have your eyes shut. The good thing about her spraying my face was that I had no bug bites on my face.  The Manti Temple is the background drop for pageant and it is gorgeous, I was so surprised by how big and tall it was up on the hill. The pageant was .very well done, a little cheesy here and there; however it was worth the drive

Donut Falls

Me, JaNae, and Megan

JaNae, Megan, and I decided to head up Cottonwood Mountain to do some hiking with the beautiful weather that Utah was finally getting. So we get up there all pumped up to go hiking, dressed in basketball shorts, t-shirts and sunscreen when we notice a mile into the hike that there is tons of SNOW on the ground. How is this possible it is mid JUNE and half of the mountain is covered in snow? Luckily it was warm weather while we hiked, the hike was fun we were slipping, sliding, and getting our legs knee deep in certain areas of snow. We were lost for a while but finally found our way to the fall which was pretty hidden. We ended the day with a stop at the Frozen Yogurt place which was a great way to end this exciting journey with two great friends.

SORRY

This weekend I was able to go and visit my dad which I was excited for because we play tons of games. It started off great after just arriving I received my mission president letter in the mail, which was so exciting to read!! Later that day we went to see X-men 4 which was good. The next day we played the board games Sorry and Parcheesi. During on the Sorry games my dad was in last place and Roland and I were exactly 5 spaces away from winning when my dad went all the way around the board to win the game. Ah, how does that happen!!! Oh well good thing it was my dad and not Roland because he would have for sure gloated
