Como estan? Hopefully you are all doing well and are excited to talk to with me cause I am super excited to talk with you all!! Anyways, I'm doing great we had a slow week with lessons but have watched two of our investigators progress a lot. Moises and another niño Victor that are going to baptize 26 May. Of course when everything is going well we have cambios . and of course hermana Burnett leaves however i am headed to Iquique again which is awesome!!! and I'm going to be in trio with hnas. Linder ( from Atlanta) and Canto (Chilean). This will be a great time cause hna. Linder can correct me with my Spanish and of course hna canto.. I Love this work and am excited to open a new area with these hermanas hopefully i wont feel like a third wheel.. Love you and might have to change times for Skype cause I'm change area but i will let you know before if i do..
President Bruce is so great he as a vision for us every month a theme or characteristic that he wants us to focus on and chapters in the BOM that he wants us to read and this month of May is to become Men and Women of Influence. He wrote about the power of the Priesthood and how blessed we are to have this gift here on earth.He shared with us the power we have as missionaries and that we don't always recognize the power we have to teach people and to help them receive that blessings of this gospel. The part I enjoyed the most is this :
In our progression to become missionaries of influence think about the counsel that Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
gave to us: “Above all else we can live the gospel. Surely there is no more powerful missionary message
we can send to this world than the example of a loving and happy Latter Day saint life. The manner and
bearing, the smile and kindness of a faithful member of the Church brings warmth and an outreach which
no missionary tract or video can convey. People do not join the church because of what they know. They
join the church because of what they feel, what they see and want spiritually”. Pres. Bruce
How strong and true are these words that people become part of our church because of the feelings and spirit they feel through us as members. Remember this every day that we are each blessed with gift of the Holy Spirit which is something very different we have. Continue to endure to the end in this gospel and share your testimony with those around so that they may receive the same blessings that we have.
