Tonight Syd, Katy and me went and donated blood at church because the Providence Hospital has the motto " Give a pint, get a free pint of ice cream!!! ( So I was totally up for donating!! ) We went in there and filled out a bunch of paper work with silly questions including "Have you ever accepted money for sex or drugs.. or slept with a man who's slept with a man?". Anyways after that they called us back one by one to check out iron levels to make sure we werent anemic so they could take our blood without killing us. Poor Sydney's iron was only 11.5 so she couldnt give blood,but Katy's was a high 14.7 and mine was 13.5 allowing us to donate. This was Katy first time so she was nervous about everything. After taking 5 mins trying to find her vein they finally found it and she was able to donate. I'm use to the system so I got in the chair and donated my blood in 5 mins flat. As we waited in the building eating the snack we ran into Elder Ball  and Eswald who were figuring out the answer to paperwork.Both the Elders were also nervous. haha  Did you know that donating blood can save up to three lives?!!! And every 2 second someones need blood? So Donate Blood Today!!

While living in Northridge I have become addicted to frozen yogurt. There are so many frozen yogurt available now a days compared to ice cream places. Some of my favorites are Tutti Frutti
( thanks to Monica), Snolly ( because 10% CSUN discount) and Pinkberry (1/2 off happy hours). After writing my research paper all weekend, Sydney came over and helped peer review. I was finally done and sick of my house so we jumped on the bikes (Katy let me borrow her's hence why the sit is low,and why I look huge) and rode to Tutti Frutti. After that we watched Love Happens ( which was so cute, Loved it !! ) waiting to go to FHE where we played dodge ball. It was fun at first, but after the boys throwing 90mph I was done playing. Later that night Syd and I ran around the block because I felt fat just sitting while everyone played. It was a great night since its MIDTERM WEEK! AH, When will I be done with school, its taking FOREVER!!!

When you first meet someone you find out where they are from and then see if they know the one person that you know from that same town right. So when Elder Hessing was transferred to our ward we had this conversation in May :

Me: yes, we went to school together

Elder Hessing: really that's so cool, he was my first companion

Me: really, I thought he was in the military

Elder Hessing:  yes, he so awesome we play ball together

After a while I realized we were talking about two completely different Bryce Anderson from P.G. how weird. Anyways come to find out the Bryce Anderson Elder Hessing was talking about is the same kid that played rec. and jr. high basketball with Roland. A few days ago I went to a lesson and there was Elder Anderson the grown up little boy that had played basketball with Roland for at least 4 years, serving a mission. It was so neat and awesome to see him there, it was  kind of  like looking at  my little brother all grown up. We were only able to talk for a little bit about each others life, but it was great to see how much he had grown and changed his life to be focused on serving the Lord.

The other day my cute Grandma Peggy called me up and  invited me to dinner with her and my cousin Cyera. So I met my Grandma and Cyera over in Pasadena and talked about all that she has been up to and all the details about my cousins.  For anyone who hasn't my Grandma Peggy let me fill you in. She is technically my dad's step-mother  who raised him and his sisters at pretty young age. So I've only known her to be my grandma, anyways, her birth name is Margaret, she is around 5'0" I would say (maybe smaller), she has a different color of hair every time I see her, was in the marines, is a retired nurse, a photographer, has literally traveled the world, mother of 6, grandmother of 12, and great grandmother of 6.  Because she has traveled almost everywhere she loves to bring back gifts of all sort. This time she brought me-

Pretty GREAT GRANDMA, huh!! I love her tons and I'm so thankful she in my life. She was gone this whole year traveling so I wasn't able to see her that much. So I am so glad that she will be in California for a few months so I can visit her!! 

CSUN Game

Saturday I took Katy and Sydney to there FIRST college volleyball game to support Lynda and Monica. It was a good game. They had so many questions on "who is the libero and why they called the ball out" and many more questions. It was so cute to see them trying to figure out the small details that I've none since I was 12 yrs old. The game brought back so many great memories and made me miss it very much. Way to go CSUN on the their win against UCR!

Bradbury is BACK

 So after being home for only 10 days I believe, Drew Bradbury aka Elder Bradbury  is back in Northridge, California liked he promised. I was so shocked to see him back visiting all his investigators and recent converts so soon. It was great to meet his parents and to finally give him a HUG of thanks for all that he has done. He was a great missionary and helped me realize the importance of the gospel  in my life and the importance of missionary work.

Movie Night!!

After having another bad day with my sewing class  I decided that I needed to get out. So me and the girls decided to go see Easy A with our CSUN discounts tickets of $7.00 instead of paying $10.00 !! Yay!  This movie was so funny and totally had parts that sounded just like me, it was weird. the movie of course ended all cute and girly!! So of course that is why I loved it. P.s. Luckily we ran into Lynda at the elevator so she was able to take a picture of all three of us.

Thursday night I wanted to go play volleyball at the church, Katy and Sydney said they'd come if we got a slurpee first . So we stopped at  good old 7 Eleven and we each got our 28 oz wild cherry slurpee which was so good!! So now we are doing slurpee runs since syd is obsessed!! We then headed to the church and played some pretty intense volleyball with Samoan guys. It felt so good to play again and to know that I still got game!!

   So this weekend I made quick trip with the Metcalf family to surprise Megan and to see my family. My trip started Wednesday night when I got to make SUU shirts for Breanne, Momma Metcalf and me. Then Friday at 6:00pm I drove to Simi Valley loaded up the car with Metcalf's and drove to College of Canyons to watch Breanne play. Then  after a sad lost we got in the car and headed to Vegas in which I slept most of the way!! We arrived at 11:30pm at Buffalo Bills were Breanne and I talked about staying up late,but passed out once we hit the beds. 
   The next morning we woke up at 6:30 am to leave for Utah, once in St.George the Metcalfs wanted to stop and get their favorite custard at Nelson's. As we attempted to get there we hit closed roads for a  walk-a-thon of some sort delaying us for 30 mins in trying to get to Nelsons. After finally getting our custard we were back on the road and arrived at Megan's were Breanne surprised her first then me. She was kinda surprised I think she secretly knew we would come. I then went and spent time with my mom and favorite aunt Mindy getting to shop and get a pedicure!! Later that night  we all went to support  Megan's team as they beat IPIU. Saturday night I went to a dance with Megan and Breanne which brought back old memories, and ended the night with a sleepover with the two girls. The next day spent time with my family and then I was back on the road at 3:00 pm!! Overall a GREAT  WEEKEND!!!

I have been helping the missionaries teach about four lessons a week and it has been AMAZING. We just recently finished the sixth lesson with a girl named Emily who's from China attending CSUN ( she still learning how to speak proper English). Emily was baptized on Sunday the 19th  and I am so proud of her she a neat person and her spirit is just overflowing with joy. Emily is so sweet and would say " I really like this, I want to share my feelings" and then she begin reading the scripture. I'm so thankful for her and all that she has taught me about sharing my feelings about this gospel. This baptism was great and then Monday wasn't because it was  Elder Bradbury's last day, he has been in the ward for 10.5 months and was one of the missionaries that got me involved with teaching lessons.I am grateful for him and wish him the best.

On Friday the ward put together a pep rally for the guys because they were playing a football game the next morning. Which I couldn't resist not going because they were giving free pizza which meant another free meal!! So after being there for awhile Sydney and I decided that we were going to get the pep rally started so we started chanting cheers " WHO'S GOING TO WIN TOMORROW" " WE ARE" and it really didn't work to well, everyone just kept talking and playing games. Anyways after the rally we headed back to my house to have a slumber party so we could think of more cheers for tomorrow. We totally didn't because we fell asleep as soon as we all laid down. Except for Katy she decided to find some cards and play with because when she woke there were cards all around her it was so funny.

That's right another decades dance I was so excited for this. I love dances and when you combined dressing up  and  dance makes it even more fun!! So I tried to do 90's but it didn't  work so I did the 80's after finding these sweet stone wash straight legged jeans, they fit like a glove it was awesome. Katy and Syd came over and we all got ready together. I  thought we could get in for free cause not many people were dressed up, but the dance committee was being lame so we paid the three bucks to get in. It was a great night thanks to these two girls !! They are so sweet and funny I'm so glad that we have become friends they made this night  and so many others so fun!

Saturday Sydney invited me and few other girls to go play tennis. I was so excited I have been trying to play tennis for the last few years because I love the tennis skirts and polo tops they wear and so does Katy, so we were totally up for playing even at 4:00 pm in the sun. Also tennis is an easy sport, right? Not even I was struggling so hard to hit the ball continuously over the net with Katy and Sarah C.  both on the other side. Finally after an hour Syd and Sarah R .decided to switch with us since they both are experienced players. I was able to play with Sarah R.  This was exciting to play with a someone who was good. I have to say I was doing pretty well which made it fun. So we are now starting a tennis club for every Wednesday I'm so excited to learn new techniques and to get better :)

For FHE we decided to go check out the new visitor center. It was awesome such a great spirit there and tons of knowledge to be shared with all the new technology they placed in the building They had a separate room for Christ were you watch a video about his life, who he was, what he did and where he lived. We had a total of 40 people and around 5 are recent converts!! It was the perfect way to end the day!

Our family ward was putting together this Luau and the lady in charge asked me if I wanted to dance, so of course I said YES!! I learned the dance in one day it was awesome!! It was great to learn a cultural dance and to be able to watch all the other dances. It was a neat experience and makes me really want to go to Hawaii. Sorry you have to turn your head to watch the video.

For Relief Society Meeting the girls decided to that we should try out yoga!! So Belle found this place called Corepower Yoga where they have rooms heated to 95 degree up to 100. So I took the girls to the sculpting class which included weight, cardio and yoga. It was amazing!! Best yoga classes ever!!! I was covered in sweat from head to toe, I learned how to do the frog position and rocked it !! After we walked down the street and bought some frozen yogurt and enjoyed each others company!!

Last Day of Camp

So on the last day of camp which was the first day of September I decided I'm going to wear my I heart Valley Trails Camp shirt (that I got for being super staff)! I was so excited to go to the beach, so I arrive to camp and my head just keeps itching so bad. So I take role and decided to run to the restroom before we leave. I'm looking in the mirror and I'm checking my hair because one of my campers return recently after having head lice.. And what do I see in my hair, a BUG!! So I ran to my director and told her to check my hair now I think I have lice .... and the answer was "oh yes you have a lot"!!! Ah , so I was sent home and got to pay $85 dollars twice to get my head treated ah!! So I had a sad last day of camp, but overall camp was great!

We did a picture scavenger hunt for FHE and I was a little worried that people wouldn't show up, but I was wrong we had 22 people!! I was so excited , when this many people show up I feel like I'm doing my calling right!! We did really good our team got 33 which was second place. I love this ward so much and I'm so grateful for my church callings!
