HEY FAMILIA!!!
¡¡¡¡ FELIZ 18 de SEPTIEMBER!!!! Fiestas!!!!
Ah
today we celebrated Independence Day here with a member. Oh my, I ate
sooooooooo much!!!!! And only because I’m a missionary because I said no
and then he looked at me with eyes of disappointment because he
prepared a lot of meat and oh my.. So being Hermana Burnett, I said yeah
I´ll have carne but only a little bit.. So I’m confiding in you all my
secret of how much food I ate today. I ate a choripan, empañada,
chicken, pork, and potato salad and then the steak... ah.. I couldn’t
move…. But this is the life of a missionary eat what the
members prepare and don’t say no. because then they are offended… So
this was our first week as a trio and it was a little hard
but we found a bunch of new people to teach and that have real desire
to learn… Nidia showed up to church all alone!!! It was the best
surprise ever!! She loved all the classes and is reading in Alma 9 now..
How neat.. Ah moments like this make me so grateful to be doing the
lords work… Sergio and Angelica are doing great.. I love this matrimony
couple so much.. I feel the spirit so strong each time in their home that
I ended up crying… literally every single time…!!! Ah the Lord work is
great and even better when we work with the members.. So keep serving
the missionaries in your wards and sharing your testimony or being a
great example to those around you because some one is always watching
you as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ!!!

Hola Family and Friends,
So Sister Canto is finally gone and what adventure that was. Terminating a missionary is hard work and I'm a little glad its over. Hermana Canto is a great person and Im super excited to have been with her twice.. With her gone that means that Im going to have a new compie , right.. Well since President bruce is crazy im going to have TWO compies... yep another TRIO,I am super surprised ,but excited... This will be good for me to get refocused on the Lord´s work and to help our investigators progress. Im going to be with Hermana Garbin( Peru) and Gonzales(Argentina) they both seem to be really great missionaries and were companions in the MTC... i am of course nervous that I won´t be all that they expect and that I´ll let them down, however I know with prayers and a lot a faith everything will work out.
We had Stake
Conference the other day and all of our investigators bailed on us .. ah
it was the worse feeling ever to prepare mentally and to have members
ready to meet each of them and then they dont show up because they are
sick or just dont contest the phone,... however we were able to go with
Georgina and Jorge which are two recent converts and on the way our
mamita and papito passed by and took us in auto.. Our papito received
the priesthood yesterday it was so great.. He was so happy and nervous
all morning... The conference was will done and was about the book of
mormon and how we should always be preparing for the temple. . President
Diaz shared that if we read 3 pages of the book of mormon every day
that we could finish the book by nov 28.. perfect.. cause that is my
goal .. so i challenge you all to do so for my birthday present , so i
wont be there this year.. listo!!!
After the conference we found out that 2 of our investigators weRe there and we didnt even know it .. how exciting..
anyways love you all and wish you a happy September
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROLO!!!

Hola Familia y Amigos
HAPPY LABORS DAY!!! You Lucky Ducks!!! hahaha
So
this week was GREAT!! We were able to find some really great new people
to teach , a Family actually. And the mom is a less active (Luisa)!!
Perfect. So we taught her and her 2 kids this week and invited them to
our Ward Movie Friday night to see 17 miracles. The day before we find
out the church doesn't have electricity because Santiago forgot to pay.
So we are freaking out cause everyone is super excited to attend the
activity and we don't want to change the day so we are praying that will
have electricity that night.. Friday in the Morning we had amazing
Conference with President Bruce and Sister Bruce. they both are so
spiritually strong and gave great talks about the importance of planning
and how the vision of the mission has changed to focus more on
baptizing and being stronger missionaries like Ammon. It was one of the
strongest and spiritual conferences that I have had in a long time.. We
begin reading Alma 17\18 and sharing how we need to change the way we
think about our sectors and love every moment in each sector and that
we are the only ones with the power in our areas.. Ah read ALMA 17 its
so great!!!
Hermana
Bruce shared how we need to plan better and specifically for each person
including those members . We need to be more detailed and take care of
our people. Because each number we report represents a person. Each
person is a Child of God. Always remember this..
So back
to the story Friday night comes and we HAVE ELECTRICITY!!! Yay!! So We
attend the activity with the kids and there at the church Sergio is
waiting, our other HOT, FIRE, GOLD Investigator. And during the movie,
he would look at me after each miracle with the face of , really.. wow..
He loved it and cried and wants his wife to see it.. YAY for great
Church movies.. Saturday is great too and then comes 10:30pm and we are
getting ready for bed when the phone rings and Im thinking its the
elders calling for numbers . When Hna Canto is making noise and saying
´¨Si, okay SI ¨when after she mentions Luisa our Less active called and
says¨my daughter wants to talk¨Hola Hermanas, Hey i want to come to
Church with you tomorrow , me and my cousin.!!! ( she 15 years old) AH
AH!!! YAY We begin to scream and dance .. What 15 year old calls and
invites them selves to church!!! our AWESOME INVESTIGATORS!!! YAHOO!!!
Anyways, being here people turn off the phones at night so we couldn't
get a hold so we run to other side of town at 9:20 am and knock her door
and she said yeah, im coming!! yeah!!!
Another One
of our investigators Karina, opened up and said I know the Book of
Mormon is true and Jose Smith. This story is to beautiful and strong to
be fake. And her mother came in the room and shared a dream that she
once had of Jose Smith!! she has so many great questions.. Karina told
Hna, Canto¨YOu have broken my black heart¨ ah so sweet..
Ah I love this work and am trying so hard to be the best missionary i
can with what little time i have left. Its so great here and there is so
much work to do!!!
Take
care all of you and don't forget to pray, read and attend church every
Sunday so that The Lord may watch over and bless you abundantly!!!
p.s.
thanks so much aunt Susan and uncle mark for my awesome new backpack!!!1
I LOVE IT.. And thanks Relief society for a great card.!!!

Hi Everyone,
So
this week we were able to finally fine some new people to teach,
hopefully they can feel the spirit in the lessons so that we can help
them receive this gospel. We had a wonderful lesson with Sergio and
Angelica. They are some great christian that live by the words of the
Bible and truly believe in everything that we do, however don´t realize
that we have the authority of God again here on the Earth thanks to our
wonderful Profeta Jose Smith. This lesson that we teach all the time is
so strong because so many people don't realize that Christ lives and that
he blessed us with another living prophet today!!! How blessed are we
to be apart of this Gospel . To be Saints of Christ here preparing to be
with our Heavenly Father and Jesucristo again. And most important to be
with our families para Siempre!!! We are truly blessed..
I was able to
teach our Principles class yesterday about Profetas and our Recent
Convert was truly surprised and happy to know that today we have a man
called of God here to direct in the path of Christ.. It was a very
strong and spiritual class. I hope that you all can remember that we
are blessed to have Profeta Thomas S. Monson as a president and that he
is able to guides us with his great 12 Apostles . Make sure to do all
you can to pray for them, to keep the commandments and to continue to
read the talks we receive in the Ensign. Make sure to be active in your
callings and the most important to Love One Another..
Hermana Canto
and I have have been doing great together. Running every morning
probably more of a jog. haha and Learning to love, laugh and Live every
day to the fullest. She isnt Trunky which is good because I find myself
more trunky then her some days.. hahah
Love you all

Hola Familia y Amigas,
So this week
we worked hard at doing really casual and confident contacts. Making
sure that during the 30 first seconds we gave our very best impression.
We are trying to focus more on them and not even mention our names. So
its been a little tough to not say ¨Hola, soy Hermana Burnett y ella es
my compañera Hermana Canto¨.. This sentence is forbidden... So our
first few contacts there was a lot of awkward waiting and silence on
who was going to speak next .. But with time we got the hang of it
and entered some really great homes were we shared a short sweet lesson
and put appointments to come back. wahoo. That's called a new
investigator and we need 10 each week.. So I am trying to better at this
making contact oh -Hi I like your car its nice, how many kids do you
have ¨and so forth... One of our families is progressing so much . The
11 year old read her reading assignment twice!! how cute!!! right..The
only thing holding them back is Sundays they get caught up with heading
to the beach:( dumb beach, ..Anyways we have faith that this Sunday is
there day!!! We did a great contact Saturday
us: hola como esta
mom : nope, im super busy helping th kids with homework and yard work.
Us:hey we can help we are teachers.
mom: really, yeah come on in.
Yeah she
didnt even ask our names or what we were doing. I ended up helping the
little girl with English and Canto with help the brother with his
math.. The homework had the word Ladybird aka Ladybug.. So I told her
Chinita is Ladybug and she kept repeating ladybird cause that is what
the teacher had. hahaha
I was able to
go with a member to Jumbo and buy some Bomers(crocs) cause this is the
only place that sold my size the biggest here is like a 9 or if your
lucky a 10.. Im hoping my shoes last
Love you all sorry this is sloppy and random, I lost track of time .. I promise to write more next week
Take care and good luck with school everyone
Love Hermana Burnett
p.s. Thanks
Louise Metcalf and Breanne and Megan for the great letter!!!!! I LOVED
IT oh and the Package of candy I gained 5 pounds easily in a week eating

Hey EVERYONE!!!!
So
this week we had a great lesson with our cute Cesped Family.. The
daughters are 11,13,14 years old and two of them did their reading
homework and explained everything they read perfectly.. It was so
exciting to watch them secretly contest each question I had .. I did
intercombios with Hermana Romney, she is so sweet she is from North
Carolina and has the same time as me in the field... I was able to take a
little bit of Spanish break, which was a big relief for her because she
has been with a Latina for 4 months.. haha We also had a wonderful
lesson with Nidia. We can always feel the spirit so strongly with her
and can see her growing so much in this Gospel... I am praying she can
find another job cause that is the only thing holding her back.
Catalinna is progressing tons and has a baptism day for the 1 Sept. She
happy with this date and is enjoying the YW program. Hermana Canto foot
has been hurting so I have been running alone which
gets boring fast and is harder.. But I have to keep doing it to be
obedient and also loose all the bread weight I put on here in Chile.
haha :) There was another strong earthquake but nothing happened to
the homes so its all good.
Love you all and hope that you are reading your Book of Mormon everyday!!!!

Hola Familia,
Hey so this
was my first week with Hermana Canto again... Crazy right . It has been
fun working with her again, she is a very good leader and always happy .
So it makes the days go by better and we have been making a lot of fun
memories. We had an amazing lesson with Catalinna. She was nervous that
her mom wasn't going to let us teach her the other day and when she went
to ask I hear ¨si, si¨¨ and then she entered all happy . She said I could get baptized!!
Then two minutes later the mom entered and asked so when is the day for
the baptism..And hermana Canto jokingly said tomorrow.. Which of
course caught the mom off guard but she didn't say no.. And then Cata
said Sept 1. and my heart was noooo that's so far away.. but The Lord
knows what is best. So we are preparing her for next month but hoping
that she can be baptized this month.. We had another great lesson with
Gilda , however she wasn't able to come to church so i think we have to
let her go.. We have been struggling to find new people to teach but I
know this week will be better as we keep being obedient and doing the
things the Lord ask of us.. We have a lot of less actives and
investigators with questions of the Tribe of Israel and it has been
really neat to be able to share the Book of Mormon with answers to their
question this BOOK IS GREAT.. I am loving the book of Mormon so much
right now and am trying two finish it twice before i end and i am
rereading part however finding new verses that have always been there
but mean something a lot more this time.
I am so thankful for all your love and support and hope that this week is great for you all as you end all your summer fun...
p.s.The
vision of our president this month is to become MCA Olympian .. So we
have 5 different categories that we can win from.. So this is exciting I
love competition..

Hey Family and Friends.
How is everyone doing ?!!! I hope that everything is going great for you all.. Chile is great
it´s
starting to get a little cold right now but no worries nothing as cold
as Utah.. So this week was the last of cambios .. And so we worked extra
hard to find new people to teach and to try to do all we could to build
the relationship of the members here. We went knocking one day and
knocked literally 30 doors before some one let us in.. And we were
introducing ourselves to her all excited cause she was super nice . When
she finally mentions that she is a member but just hadn't attend
church in years.. However she has 3 daughters that she would love us to
teach and to help her attend church again.. It was so great so we are
working with this family to all become members which is my favor thing
to do in the mission. We finally found Nidia again our great Colombian
investigator.. She is now about to complete Mosiah and has found an
answer from God that she needs to be baptized.!! How great is that ..
She´s worried about letting go of her Sunday job but she is putting her
trust in the lord and is going to attend church again.. It was so neat
to see how much she is reading and how she is enjoying the book of
Mormon.. We didn't have many people at our ward activity the other day
but the families that went learned a lot about Jose Smith as we watched
his life movie.. I love Chañarcillo the Bishop and is family are great
and are so giving and humble and really do all they can to help the
members here.. They are true members of this Gospel and such a great
example for the ward..
CAMBIOS......We
received a phone call last night... and I am STAYING!!! wohoo no
packing, however VanMeter is leaving.. Which is no surprise because i
change something every cambio.. So Hermana........ Canto is coming to be
my companion.. Yep Again... crazy huh.. So I will be terminated her
cause this is her last sector..
Love you all
hope you had a wonderful warm July!!

Hi Familia and Amigos!!!!
Hey so this week
went pretty well we had a lot of different appointments and found some
new MA people to work with . However with it being vacation here we had
no one at church only 46 people it was so sad. And out of all the
people we visited only 5 or so went to church and many didn't go
because they were too lazy. it was a sad Sunday.. We are trying so hard
to build up the ward and go out of our way to visit them and just love
them to an annoying point trying to get them at church and it didn't
work so now we are trying another way and that is to be more stern and
direct.. no more love from hermanas of chañarcillo.. anyways we love
working together.. and are putting together fetch's for agosto... :) Our
fetch for this month fell so we won´t be baptizing anyone this month
which is sad but happens.. We have some great investigators that we will
definitely baptize next month.. Side note we went to a gym last week
and i was able to lift weights and do squats and run on the treadmill !!
I felt like a little kid in a Candy store. And today we cleaned and
then decide to run to the montaña with this big cross and take some
pictures so hopefully you all love them!! .
Take care family.

Hola Familia,
This
week was a tough one. We only found two new people teach and our
investigator with a baptism date didn’t show up for church yesterday
that was sad.. However we had a GREAT married couple investigators show
up to church all dress in the regular church attire with a suit and
everything. They are so sweet and have so much great knowledge of the Bible and they already agree with every thing we have been teaching. After
sacrament meeting ended we had about 5 members run up to greet them
they knew at least 5 of the members really well. so we are very excited
to watch them grow and prepare them for a baptism this next month. We
have another great investigator named Gilda. Hermana VanMeter asked her
¨if you know this is all true what do you need to do¨ ? she said I
guess become Mormon. She then called her niece up and said I'm not going
to be catholic anymore I'm becoming Mormon. It was so cute.. These are
the moments that keep me going . Is to watch people like her see the
truth and to watch them realize that there is more in this life and
after I love this gospel so much and am so grateful to have been in
instruments in the Lords hand with the people here in Chile ..
I
received a call the other day about my convert Victor from Antofagasta.
His brother Moises was baptized and his sister and Dad have a baptism
day for this month. Cesar Aros my HOT FIRE GOLD Investigators from
Iquique also was baptized a day after my year mark.. June 30, 2012.. How
great is that.. the Lord truly does miracles in our lives when we are
obedient and faithful in his work..
Love you all and hope you had a wonderful 4th of July with out me…

Hello Family and Amigos
Wow
this week was tough ... We found some really great new people to teach
that are really receptive and are becoming really involved in the
lessons. Nidia is from Columbia and is here working in Chile. The old
hermanas were getting ready to let her go as an investigator but with
me we went back and taught with the power of the spirit and now she is
loving the gospel more. She has been reading the Book of Mormon
consistently and is in mosiah 4.. She loves the stories in the book and
is dedicated to reading the book before baptism.. So hopefully she will
read a little faster so she can be baptized.. We have another great
investigator Gilda who read the Plan of Salvation pamphlet and marked up
all the parts that she loved and at the end wrote who is this Jose
Smith.. haha it was so sweet she told us she couldn't pray about him
cause she didn't know anything about him... So we taught her the
Restoration yesterday and it answered all her questions... So we are
helping her prepare for a baptism..
The
people are great here, just no one wants to attend church which is
frustrating cause in the chapel is were we all can feel the Spirit the
strongest and receive a stronger testimony of this gospel. We each
spoke yesterday and I taught the class after I was stressing out a
little but it went great..
RANDOM FACTS IN THE MISSION
My cold sore is getting better.
My burnt boy hair is starting to grow..
I have been eating oatmeal and tons of kiwi thanks to a investigator for that last week which is not fun
We have been running our bums off everyday
my strecthy pants are getting a little baggy !!!
We
ran to central to today to mail letters and then ran/walked back and
took a 100 pictures of the beautiful city ( paparazzi pictures of
people from a far)
We took a bus around the corner then realized it was the wrong one.. very embarrassing
I said ¨thank you¨to the Chilean water guy who doesn't know English
and I'm slacking on replying to emails.. sorry I´m trying

Hola Familia,
Como estan? Hopefully you are all doing well and are excited to talk to with me cause I am super excited to talk with you all!! Anyways, I'm doing great we had a slow week with lessons but have watched two of our investigators progress a lot. Moises and another niño Victor that are going to baptize 26 May. Of course when everything is going well we have cambios . and of course hermana Burnett leaves however i am headed to Iquique again which is awesome!!! and I'm going to be in trio with hnas. Linder ( from Atlanta) and Canto (Chilean). This will be a great time cause hna. Linder can correct me with my Spanish and of course hna canto.. I Love this work and am excited to open a new area with these hermanas hopefully i wont feel like a third wheel.. Love you and might have to change times for Skype cause I'm change area but i will let you know before if i do..
President Bruce is so great he as a vision for us every month a theme or characteristic that he wants us to focus on and chapters in the BOM that he wants us to read and this month of May is to become Men and Women of Influence. He wrote about the power of the Priesthood and how blessed we are to have this gift here on earth. He shared with us the power we have as missionaries and that we don't always recognize the power we have to teach people and to help them receive that blessings of this gospel. The part I enjoyed the most is this :
In our progression to become missionaries of influence think about the counsel that Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
gave to us: “Above all else we can live the gospel. Surely there is no more powerful missionary message
we can send to this world than the example of a loving and happy Latter Day saint life. The manner and
bearing, the smile and kindness of a faithful member of the Church brings warmth and an outreach which
no missionary tract or video can convey. People do not join the church because of what they know. They
join the church because of what they feel, what they see and want spiritually”. Pres. Bruce
How strong and true are these words that people become part of our church because of the feelings and spirit they feel through us as members. Remember this every day that we are each blessed with gift of the Holy Spirit which is something very different we have. Continue to endure to the end in this gospel and share your testimony with those around so that they may receive the same blessings that we have.

Hola Family
This weekend was great we were able
to watch the baptism of our investigator of 2 years. He was so happy
and excited to finally be confirmed a member of this Church. The baptism
went really well we had four people in total baptized. Each person
different and two in which are the second in the famnily to join. i love
watching the ripple affect of the Lords work and how so many people
grow and change after one member joins. I am doing good here in
Origenes this ward has some great leaders but lacks a ward missionary
which is hard specially when we have four missionaries here working. I
worked hard this month to be resurrected hopefully i have changed for
the better and become more Christ like. I love this work and cant
believe i have double digits in the mission 10 months wow. crazy.
hopefully I can complete all the work that the Lord needs of me here in
Antofagasta because we have cambios Saturday. We have some really good
investigators so it will be great to see them grow and accept this
gospel.. four of which are men. yeah cause this gospel needs more
priesthood. Its been really good here I love working were you can see
the beautiful ocean. Today for pday we headed to La Portada which is a
beautiful natural arch in the ocean hopefully you like the pictures.. on
the way back we were walking in central and passed the llama with this
cute hat and I always want a picture and today i was able to take one..
hahah her name is Shakira how funny .Side note I have fleas living in my
bed so every morning i wake to find 6 more bites on my arm or leg or
stomach and it is getting annoying. and my skin being sensitive i have
red huge marks everywhere and making little scars :( anyways love you
all and will talk with you at 7.00 pm my time CHILE which is 5:00 pm
your time I believe..
Love you all keeping reading and praying and attending church and the Lord will bless you each !!!

Hola familia y amigas,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LITTLE BROTHERS DALLEN AND HAYDEN!!! WOHOOO"!!! THE BIG 16!!!!
Yesterday I had to prepare a talk about missionary work in one hour which is hard to do in Spanish. As I was preparing I learned so many neat ways that members can serve. Some of the which are simple actions of paying tithing and praying for missionaries to find people or preparing the children with the idea to serve. That each of this things are small and simple but truly affect the big part of The Lord´s work. We don´t need each member walking in the streets with us ( which would be awesome), however we need each members hearts and minds in this work. Always testifying and giving what they can to build this work. My companion spoke about the reason missionary work is so important is because it shows our love for the Atonement, When we each gain the knowledge and understanding of the Atonement and how it has blessed our lives and brings so much happiness to our lives, how could we not share this message with everyone that we meet. How could we not all leave our homes and families and dreams for 18 to 24 months for the Lord. This is why am here and so many others, is because we truly love the Lord and are so grateful for his atonement and for the knowledge we have thanks to the Gospel of Jesus Christ . A mission may seem a long time for many people, but in the Lords eyes its more then years its how we show our love. I know that not all of us can be set apart as missionaries, but with our actions and service in other ways is how we can build up the Lords kingdom.
This week was great we found two new investigators through our menos activos which during our first lesson with them one commented on how he wants to serve a mission but after he studies a little and how he knows he needs to be baptized but isn't ready. (This is Manual a twin of a member) We were headed to his house before church and Dante the twin said his brother wasn't ready so only him would come and as we were sitting in the chapel with Victor in walked Dante, Manual, his less active grandmother and a cousin who isn't a member. It was so neat.. I am super excited for this weekend our cute 13 year old investigators Victor who was first taught by Elders Jimenez and Edwards (who ended the mission in dec)is now going to be baptized this Saturday ( TWO YEARS LATER) and his brother is now interested in the gospel so we are teaching him. Victor is so great he has his baptismal clothes all picked out and is so ready for Saturday to come.. I can´t wait to send you all pictures of the baptism.
I had the opportunity to listen to Elder and Sister Richards the other day,(of the seventy) It was probably the strongest meeting with the spirit that I have felt in a long time. I felt the spirit so strong and have the desires to feel the same spirit every day in my lessons. That I may feel the power of God in every lesson that I teach. I am working on increasing my faith in him so that I may see more miracles here in Chile and at home.
I love this work and am so grateful for all your prayers and support you each give.
p.s. mothers day we can Skype what time is good for you!!! crazy

April 16th Letter
Hola Familia y amigos,
¡Que triste nadie le gusta me carta en español! ( how sad that no one liked my Spanish letter)
Sorry to hear that no one enjoyed my letter in Spanish, I guess I will
only do that again when mom and dad don't write me. hahaha jk .Wow this
week went by fast but no worries it was a really good week. We have been
finding new people to teach here and so May is going to have a lot of
baptisms. Our cute little investigator Victor received permission to be
baptized the 28th!! Which is so exciting because he has been hearing
the missionaries for 2 years now. He is definitely going to be an Elder
when he older with how much missionary work he does with us. Our sector
is great I hope i´m getting skinner with how much I walk up these huge
hills every day. Our mission is reading 2 Nefi in Spanish for us gringo
which helps me with my Spanish but I don't understand it all so that
some times is annoying.I´m still waiting for the day when
everything clicks in my head. We are also reading
the characterizes of Christ which is very humble experience. I
am trying hard every day to become more Christlike in all my actions and
thoughts. I have found that patience is the one I lack the most however
Hna Reyes helps me a lot to be more patience and understanding with
everyone. I have enjoyed this month a lot as we have been talking about
the Resurrection and the atonement
The
atonement of Christ is the greatest gift that we have from The Lord,
thanks to Christ we can be forgiven of all our sins and to be able to
repent every day to become clean and more like him. That without this
atonement the purpose here on earth is nothing and we could never return
to the heavens to live with God or our families. I am truly grateful
for this time that I have been able to understand more of the blessings
of this gospel and how important every step of The Saviors life happened
for us. I'm so grateful to know that Christ lives and that we too may
obtain a perfect body after this life and that there is so much more
awaiting for us in the heavens. I know that one of the things we can do
as children of God to prepare ourselves to live with him again is to
study all the attributes of Christ to have faith, hope, love, charity,
knowledge, to be humble, patience, obedient. When we work on each of
these attributes we will become more like our savior and we will have
the spirit more strongly in our lives which will bring joy, happiness,
love, and peace. How could we not want each of those qualities everyday.
No one here is perfect and may never complete all of these attributes
at once but we have a whole life time to work on being the very best in
these areas.
I
love you all and hope that you will each work hard this month to be
more Christlike in all that you do. To chose one category and become the
very best you in that characterize.

March 26th Letter
Hola Mi Familia and Amigas!!
So this week went by slow but was still good.. Hna Menghini back has been hurting so we weren’t able to work a day and half which was so weird... I did not like being in the house all day reading and studying ah I started to go a little crazy... She keeps caring around her bag even though nothing is in it and then her neck starts to hurt again. So me being me said “no you are not taking your backpack give me your papers and planner too, you are not allowed to use it”. So I have been caring around extra load of books for about two weeks and Saturday I started to feel the pain in my back. Haha yeah not good.. Oh well, so I took out the bible which helped a little yesterday.
We have been having great lessons with our cute Cifuentas family that is planning on being baptized 21 Abril. It’s so exciting to be teaching a whole family this gospel. Guillermo our other investigator enrolled into institute and is reading the manual for the class. He has been progressing so much. He lives with a family that has active member; less actives and reactive (hahaha) this house has many different types of members.. It’s been really great here in Maray I can say I know all the entire active member and where they live and work and how many dogs they have. I love this feeling of being part of the ward. All of our less actives are now reactive!!! Wahoo it´s been so neat to watch everyone grow in their testimonies and see the Light of Christ glow in their eyes. Alejandra our recent convert came yesterday without us calling to invite and she was early!! She is so neat and really loves this gospel to the fullest she is reading all the daughters in my kingdom book and participating tons in our principle of gospel class.
Saturday night we received a phone call from the assistants and ¿sabe que? Yo voy a ANTOFAGASTA!!! I leave today at 3:00pm. And arrived really late there but it’s all good cause my companion is Hermana Reyes, she is from Chile so that means I´m going to pick up a Chilean accent!!! Wahoo!! I’m so sad to be leaving Maray but my time has come to an end here. The greatest thing is I’m with another Latina and I’m going to a huge ward of 130 people!! Yay
Te quiero mucho!! Thanks for the letters, support and prayers!! I love hearing how Bryon is doing!! He is all grown up. I’m so proud of my little bro!!! I´m glad you went to festival of colors, its fun uh, I love the pictures mom!! Thanks... I love and miss you tons Hayden!! Congrats on getting good grades and for not having court... You need to get out of the house though and go places the play station will be in the house waiting for you when you’re done... Love you tons Dallen!! Keep up the good work in school!! Love you Roland and miss your letters.. Love you mom and dad!!! Thanks for everything!!

March 20th Letter
Hola familia,
So we finally have a ward mission leader hno servino, and he is great. He is an Rm and jokes all the time I really don't want this calling but then starts to share all of his ideas and great plans for this ward. And how the members need to take on more responsibility and how he wants a member at every investigators lesson. And he continues on with all these great plans .. It is so great to talk with him every day cause he has such grand plans that are the same as Prsident Bruce. This weekend we had a baptism and all we did was set up chairs. It was really different we didn't have any responsibilities. We walked into the chapel just before 8pm and there were 5 sisters of the ward and 3 brethren and music playing it was so pretty. It was a very beautiful experience and I can´t wait to have another. I am falling in Love with Maray!! The ward is growing on me and I am learning to devote all my time and effort to the wonderful people here. We have a family from Chañaral that has been investigating for 3 years , they were married so that they could be baptized and their daughter recently completed 8 so we are preparing them to be baptized Abril!!! Yay !! Thanks for the letters its great to hear encouragement..
I had an intercombio with Hna Chen the other day and it was so great . She let me teach and had confidence and me . I truly felt like myself . I felt really good. I lost a bit of my confidence here but Hna Chen helped me a lot the other.. It was a great day..
The following day we headed to the top of a hill and built a house for a family in the ward. And it was a little hard cause the dirt/sand is full of rocks and not very easy to move..
I love this work !!!!!
I wrote a really cute letter and of course I accidentally deleted it so sorry for this be short cause now i don't have time to write you all .
Thanks for everything

March 12th Letter
HI FAMILIA AND AMIGOS!!
This week came and went pretty fast. We lost the first round of March Madness :( So I wasn't a very happy camper Tuesday. We find out tomorrow if we made it to the 2 round of the Consolation bracket. I'm doing alright with my companion, I am learning how to have self control over my emotions in that fact that i am in control of how i feel. I am thankful for the opportunity to be in Maray I am loving every minute here. This has been my longest sector (THREE MONTHS) so I have been able to get to know all the members and to gain their trust.
We are preparing a mother of 2 recent converts to baptize this sat. Her story is the same as my first baptism here in the mission. Its been so neat watching her grow and to see the light of Christ in her eyes. We had an investigator come to church solo, with out us calling or bugging it was so neat and to watch him sit for all three hours was even better. It was testimony meeting and the members shared very strong and divine testimonies and class was about the priesthood. What a wonderful Sunday to have investigators. This is when the spirit hits me strong,to watch the people you have been teaching progress solo. Our other investigators Ana and Emilia are understanding more and are thinking about baptisms also..!! ah its been so neat to watch our little sheep grow and change and accept this gospel. We finally have a Lider of Misional which is going to help us a lot with working with the members and activities.
We were leaving lunch last Sunday when a women stopped us and said ¨ We have been waiting for missionaries to pass by, the elders said you could come by cause we want our daughter to be baptize¨ So Hna. Menghini and I are thinking okay they are less actives and the daughter will be counted as the wards baptism. We can still help the family be eternal. We pass by on Tuesday and the dad gives us this nice long testimony and I lose track of what he is saying so I decided to ask when was he baptized.. He mentions I'm not , she is but me and my daughter aren't... My heart starts to race... in my mind I m thinking YES!! WOW GREAT !! We can baptized a father and daughter!!!! Then 2 mins later my companion is confused and mentions so only you are baptized? and the dad says NO!!! None of them , they took the lessons and Chanaral and recently got married because that was one of the rules for them to get baptized... But they moved here and waited for the daughter to turn 8 and now they are all ready to be baptized.. So yep I get to baptize a family in April!! how neat is this!!! I'm so so stoked we really get to help this family be TOGETHER FOREVER!!!..
keep reading and enduring to the end in the Gospel and the Lord will bless you each very much
